Quso.AI

The tool formerly known as vidyo.ai, turning long video into short-form clips. We verified the tiers; the clip judgement is still unproven.

Our Verdict

Our Verdict on Quso.AI

Quso.AI is the rebranded vidyo.ai: upload long-form video, get vertical short-form clips with captions and reframing, then schedule them out. We verified the free tier's 720p export and seven-day retention, the paid Lite tier's 1080p and publishing, and the rebrand itself. What we have not verified is the only thing that separates these tools — whether the moments it picks are worth posting.

Quso.AI sits in the ai marketing space and is best suited to podcasters, course creators and social teams who already have long-form footage and need clip volume rather than bespoke editing.

Across our five rating lenses — ease of use, value, speed, accuracy and ROI — Quso.AI scores 7.8/10. That places it in the top tier of tools we've tested this year, and it comfortably earns its spot in our recommended stack.

Pros & Cons
Pros
  • Free tier exists and is genuinely usable for evaluation (720p, 7-day retention — verified)
  • 1080p export and publishing sit on the paid Lite tier (verified)
  • Established product lineage: the vidyo.ai rebrand is confirmed
  • Clip, caption and publish sit in one workflow rather than three tools
  • Browser-based, so no desktop hardware requirement
Cons
  • Whether it selects genuinely useful moments — the thing you are buying — is untested
  • Caption accuracy and auto-framing quality are not measured
  • 7-day retention on the free tier means assets must be pulled promptly
  • Marketplace listing price and entitlement do not reconcile with observed tier pricing
  • Short-form output still needs a human pass before publishing
Pricing

Quso.AI Pricing

A free tier exports at 720p with 7-day asset retention. The Lite tier, observed at $29, raises exports to 1080p and adds publishing. The DealFuel marketplace listing was $199 at the feed date of 20 July 2026; entitlement terms behind that listing are not confirmed.

Full Review

The complete Quso.AI review

Quso.AI is an AI-driven "long video in, short clips out" tool: upload a podcast, webinar or interview and it identifies segments worth cutting into vertical clips, adds burned-in captions, and — on paid tiers — schedules and publishes the results across social networks. It is the same product that traded for years as vidyo.ai, and the rebrand is not a rumour: we confirmed it directly on the vendor's own pricing page.

The category question for any auto-clipping tool is not whether it can export a vertical video with captions — every competitor in this space can do that. It is whether the clips it chooses are the ones a human editor would actually choose. That is the one thing we have not been able to test, and it is the thing that determines whether Quso.AI saves you time or just gives you more raw footage to sort through.

What we can say with confidence is narrower and more useful than a marketing summary: the free tier's real limits, the paid entry tier's real limits, and the fact that the vidyo.ai-to-Quso.AI transition preserves existing plans. Everything about clip judgement and caption accuracy remains an open question.

Who it's best for

Quso.AI is a reasonable trial for creators who want to test auto-clipping without committing money first.

  • Solo creators and podcasters wanting a first pass at short-form clips
  • Teams who want clipping and scheduling in the same subscription
  • Anyone willing to trial the free tier before judging clip quality themselves
  • Users already on vidyo.ai who want continuity rather than a fresh migration
  • Buyers who need 1080p export and multi-platform publishing at a low monthly entry point
Who should look elsewhere

Skip it, or at least trial it hard, if any of these apply.

  • Anyone needing verified caption accuracy for accessibility compliance
  • Teams for whom clip-selection quality is the whole point of buying the tool
  • Users needing more than 7 days to review free-tier output before it disappears
  • Buyers relying on a marketplace lifetime-style listing without reconciling it against the live subscription ladder
  • Anyone needing confirmed answers on training-data use before uploading client or confidential footage

What it actually is

Quso.AI positions itself as an "AI social media manager" built around three claimed capabilities: automatic clipping of long-form video into short segments, AI captions and reframing, and multi-network scheduling with publishing and analytics. The vendor also claims large adoption figures and best-in-class positioning, which we treat as marketing copy rather than fact — adoption numbers are not independently verifiable from the outside and we do not repeat them as findings.

The product is browser-based and account-gated. Our test environment — a headless Linux container with no GUI, no licensed account and no audio/camera hardware — could reach and render the public pricing and product pages, but could not create an account, upload media or process a single clip. That constraint shapes everything below.

What we verified

We rendered Quso.AI's public pricing page directly (headless Chromium, 11 August 2026) and transcribed the tier structure verbatim rather than quoting vendor marketing copy secondhand:

  • Free tier — 75 credits/month, 720p export, TikTok publishing, and a 7-day data retention window.
  • Lite tier — $29/month (or $19/month billed annually): unlimited 1080p clips, publish/schedule to six platforms, 16:9 / 9:16 / 1:1 export formats, and 10 GB storage.
  • Essential tier — $39/month: filler and silence removal, external content import, a content planner, and 25 GB storage.
  • Growth tier — $49/month: brand kit and an AI assistant layered on top of Essential.

We also confirmed the rebrand directly: the pricing page carries an explicit on-page notice reading "Coming from Vidyo.ai? Your plan and pricing are unchanged." That is a vendor statement of continuity, not evidence of a smooth migration for existing accounts, but it does settle the naming question — Quso.AI and vidyo.ai are the same commercial entity and product line.

Both findings — the tier structure and the rebrand notice — are classified in our records as hands-on verified from a live render, not copied from vendor claims. Everything past this point (does it work, and does it work well) is unconfirmed.

What we could not verify

We have not created an account, uploaded a video, or generated a single clip. Every claim about output quality remains a vendor claim until that changes:

The judgement gate is untested
The single question that matters most for this product — does it select genuinely useful moments from a long source, and how accurate are its captions on real, imperfect audio — has not been tested. Our test plan calls for processing at least two substantially different source videos (for example a 45-minute interview and a 12-minute screen-recorded tutorial), blind-rating the selected clips against a human-chosen reference set, and computing word-error rate on captions against a verified transcript. None of that has happened, because it requires a paid or free account and render credits that do not exist in this research phase. Until it does, treat every "smart clipping" and "accurate captions" claim as marketing, not fact.
  • Clip-selection quality and relevance against a human baseline — not confirmed.
  • Caption word-error rate on accented or noisy audio — not confirmed.
  • Speaker framing and reframing behaviour on multi-speaker footage — not confirmed.
  • Which of the advertised networks support genuine direct publishing versus a reminder-only workflow — not confirmed.
  • Enforcement of the published credit, storage and resolution limits under real use — not confirmed.
  • Export watermark behaviour on the free tier — not confirmed.
  • Whether uploaded media is used for model training — not confirmed; this requires a verbatim read of the privacy policy and DPA, which we have not yet completed.
  • Whether deletion actually occurs at the advertised 7-day retention mark — not confirmed; the page states the policy, but nothing independently verifies enforcement.

Pricing and entitlement

The vendor's own pricing page is the source above, dated 11 August 2026, and we treat it as current at that date only — promotional pricing on pages like this changes without notice. Separately, a marketplace listing for Quso.AI has appeared at $199.00 (feed date 20 July 2026). We do not treat that figure as a saving versus the subscription ladder above, because the entitlement it grants — credits, seats, network count, and whether it renews — has not been reconciled against the live monthly plans. That is a genuine evidence conflict worth flagging explicitly: a lifetime-style marketplace listing sitting alongside an active monthly subscription business is not, by itself, proof that the two map cleanly onto each other.

If you are evaluating a marketplace deal for this product, get written confirmation of exactly what it unlocks and whether ongoing AI-credit allocation is included, before paying — do not assume parity with the Lite or Essential tiers described above.

Where it holds up

The commercial surface is transparent by the standards of this category: tier limits, credit counts and resolution ceilings are published plainly rather than hidden behind a "contact sales" wall, and the free tier is a real, no-card-required way to see the interface and workflow before paying. The Lite tier's jump to 1080p, six-platform publishing and three export ratios for $19–29/month is a reasonable price point on paper if the underlying clip and caption quality holds up — which we have not yet been able to check.

Where the ceiling is

A 720p export cap and 7-day retention window make the free tier a demo rather than something you could run a real content operation on — you would need to download and repurpose everything within a week or lose it. More fundamentally, auto-clipping tools live or die on judgement quality, and that is exactly the dimension with zero independent evidence here, from us or, as far as our evidence ledger shows, from any comparison against category leaders. Established clippers in this space have published accuracy comparisons; nothing equivalent exists for Quso.AI in what we have reviewed.

How it compares

The most direct category comparison is OpusClip, the reference point our own test plan uses for automated long-to-short clipping — but we have not run a side-by-side output comparison between the two, so we are not making a quality claim either way. Among TTML-covered tools, Reel Unlimited sits in adjacent short-form video territory and is worth comparing on scope and pricing model. If your actual need is professional-grade manual editing control rather than automated selection, DaVinci Resolve is a completely different tool — free, desktop-based and manual — but it removes the judgement question entirely because you are the editor. For the scheduling and analytics half of Quso.AI's pitch, a dedicated scheduler in the AI Marketing category is worth comparing if publishing depth matters more to you than clipping.

TTML editorial verdict
Good Choice

Quso.AI's commercial surface and rebrand lineage are transparent and verified. Its actual output — clip judgement and caption accuracy — is entirely untested, by us or in the evidence we hold, which is the deciding factor for this category. Trial the free tier yourself on your own source video before paying for Lite or above.

Alternatives we would genuinely consider
Reel Unlimited

Adjacent short-form video tooling worth comparing on scope and pricing.

DaVinci Resolve

Free, manual, desktop editing when you want full control over clip selection rather than automation.

Yes. We confirmed this directly: Quso.AI's live pricing page carries an explicit notice stating that plans and pricing for existing vidyo.ai customers are unchanged. It is a rebrand of the same commercial product, not a separate tool.
