Imagify is a cloud image optimisation service that compresses images and converts them to WebP and AVIF, connected to WordPress through a plugin and also available as a web app and API. It is an image optimisation service, not a caching plugin and not a CDN.
Who makes Imagify
Imagify is published by WP Media, the same distributed company that produces the WP Rocket caching plugin — a separate product, bought separately. Imagify is distributed as a free connector plugin on WordPress.org with optimisation sold as plans metered by volume, and runs its affiliate programme through the Awin network.

Documented capabilities include multiple compression levels, conversion to the next-generation WebP and AVIF formats with fallback delivery for browsers that do not support them, bulk optimisation of an existing media library, automatic optimisation of new uploads, resizing on upload, and retention of original files so an optimisation can be reversed. Compression runs on Imagify's own infrastructure rather than on the site's server, and a web app and API are documented for use outside WordPress.
